You can follow the guidelines provided by your local health authorities for sterilizing jars. Now, wash the peaches thoroughly. Slice them in half using a knife, and cut them into small chunks. Place the peach pieces in an oven-safe baking dish.
Next, sprinkle the sugar over the peaches, mixing everything together to ensure the peaches are well coated. Once combined, transfer the mixture into a bowl and use an immersion blender to blend it into a smooth, homogenous consistency.
