Homemade Tofu Sausage Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of white tofu, mashed
  • 250 grams of carrots, grated using a cheese grater
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Seasoning, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients: mashed tofu, grated carrots, eggs, minced garlic, ground black pepper, salt, seasoning, and all-purpose flour. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning as necessary to suit your preferences.

  3. Prepare for Steaming: Transfer the tofu mixture into a plastic wrap or mold designed for ice pops. Securely tie the ends to form a compact log shape.

  4. Steam: Place the wrapped tofu mixture in a preheated steamer. Steam for approximately 20 minutes, or until the mixture feels firm to the touch.

  5. Cool: Once steamed, remove from the steamer and allow the tofu sausage to cool.

  6. Unwrap: After cooling, carefully remove the plastic wrap or mold.

  7. Chill (Optional): For a firmer texture, refrigerate the tofu sausage before frying.

  8. Fry and Serve: Slice the tofu sausage into desired portions and fry until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tip: Chilling the tofu sausage before frying helps it hold its shape and achieve a firmer texture.
