Kari Telur Tahu Ala Rumahan

Ingredients

Bahan A Quantity
Eggs (steamed, peeled, fried) 5 large eggs
Firm tofu (cut into triangles, fried) 3 pieces
Coconut milk 200 ml
Fried shallots To taste
Bahan B (for blending)
Garlic 6 cloves
Shallots 5 shallots
Black pepper 1 tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Turmeric (fresh) 1 small piece
Galangal (fresh) 1 small piece
Lemongrass 2 stalks
Kaffir lime leaves 3 leaves
Bay leaves 2 leaves
Candlenuts 2 nuts
Red curly chili peppers 3 pieces
Sugar To taste
Bouillon powder To taste

Instructions

  1. Blend all the ingredients from Bahan B, excluding the kaffir lime and bay leaves, until smooth.
  2. In a skillet, heat a sufficient amount of oil over medium heat, then sauté the blended spices until fragrant.
  3. Add the fried eggs and tofu to the skillet, stirring gently to combine.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk and, if desired, add bouillon powder for extra flavor.
  5. Allow the mixture to simmer until it reduces by half, achieving a thick, rich consistency.
  6. Turn off the heat, serve in bowls, and garnish with fried shallots on top.
