Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken
- 3 spring onions
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 green chili
- 2 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 red capsicums
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- Oil for frying
Instructions:

1 | Marinate the boneless chicken pieces (1″ cubes) in a mixture of 1 tbsp soya sauce, salt, egg, and 1 tbsp corn flour for 10 minutes. |
2 | Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once hot, fry the marinated chicken until light brown. Drain and set aside. |
3 | Grind red chilies with vinegar to form a paste and set aside. |
4 | In a wok, heat 1 tbsp of oil. Add minced garlic, chopped spring onions, and sliced green chili. Stir-fry for a few seconds. |
5 | Add soya sauce and mix well. |
6 | Stir in ajinomoto, sugar, black pepper powder, and the red chili paste. |
7 | Pour in water and stir to combine. |
8 | Add the fried chicken pieces to the wok and mix until evenly coated with the sauce. |
9 | Dissolve the remaining corn flour in water and add it to the wok. |
10 | Drizzle honey over the chicken mixture and stir to incorporate. |
11 | Add julienned red capsicums and mix gently. |
12 | Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the dish for added flavor and texture. |
