Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 green chili
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 red capsicums
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

Step Details
1 Marinate the boneless chicken pieces (1″ cubes) in a mixture of 1 tbsp soya sauce, salt, egg, and 1 tbsp corn flour for 10 minutes.
2 Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once hot, fry the marinated chicken until light brown. Drain and set aside.
3 Grind red chilies with vinegar to form a paste and set aside.
4 In a wok, heat 1 tbsp of oil. Add minced garlic, chopped spring onions, and sliced green chili. Stir-fry for a few seconds.
5 Add soya sauce and mix well.
6 Stir in ajinomoto, sugar, black pepper powder, and the red chili paste.
7 Pour in water and stir to combine.
8 Add the fried chicken pieces to the wok and mix until evenly coated with the sauce.
9 Dissolve the remaining corn flour in water and add it to the wok.
10 Drizzle honey over the chicken mixture and stir to incorporate.
11 Add julienned red capsicums and mix gently.
12 Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the dish for added flavor and texture.
