Ingredients
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Fuji Apples | 920g |
Amaretti Biscuits | 8 |
Oranges | 1 |
Hazelnut Crumble | 50g |
Multiflower Honey | to taste |
Instructions
- Begin by washing and drying the apples thoroughly. Carefully cut off the top of each apple, preserving the stems. Set the tops aside, as they will be used to cap the apples after stuffing.
- Using a small paring knife, hollow out the center of the apples, removing the core and creating space for the filling. Be sure to leave the apple walls intact to hold the stuffing.
- Chop the scooped-out apple flesh into small pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped apple pieces with the hazelnut crumble, and then add a generous splash of freshly squeezed orange juice (from the orange you just zested).
- Stir everything together, ensuring the mixture is well combined and the ingredients are coated with the orange juice for extra flavor.
- Once the filling is prepared, begin stuffing the apples. Carefully spoon the mixture into the hollowed-out apples, packing it in well.
- Place the reserved tops back onto the apples to close them up.
- Arrange the stuffed apples on a baking tray and place them in a preheated static oven at 190°C (375°F). Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
- After baking, remove the apples from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy these indulgent, warm baked apples as a comforting dessert to end any meal. The sweet honey, nutty hazelnuts, and zesty orange juice create a perfect balance of flavors in every bite.
