Fresh thyme | 4 sprigs |

Instructions:
-
Prepare the Turnips:
Start by washing the turnips thoroughly under cold running water. Once clean, pat them dry with a towel and cut them in half, setting them aside for the next steps. -
Prepare the Honey-Spice Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, add the cut turnips and pour in 150g of the wildflower honey. Add the olive oil, followed by the sweet paprika, ground ginger, ground cumin, and yellow mustard. Toss in the fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of fine salt. Stir everything together, ensuring the turnips are evenly coated with the honey and spice mixture. -
Transfer to Baking Dish:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) in static mode. Once the oven is hot, transfer the seasoned turnips to a baking dish. Drizzle the remaining 6g of honey over the top of the turnips, ensuring they are evenly coated. -
Roast the Turnips:
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and roast the turnips for 35-40 minutes. During the roasting process, make sure to occasionally spoon some of the cooking juices over the turnips to keep them moist and ensure a beautifully glazed surface. -
Serving:
Once the turnips are tender and caramelized, remove them from the oven. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. These honey and spice-glazed turnips make a fantastic side dish to accompany roasted meats or fish, bringing a deliciously unique flavor to your meal.
Notes:
- This dish is an excellent choice for those looking to add a touch of sweetness and spice to their side dishes.
- If you prefer a more pronounced sweetness, feel free to adjust the amount of honey according to your taste.
