Ingredient Quantity
Chicken breast, minced 300 gms
Potato, boiled and mashed 1 large
Gram flour 2 tsp

Green coriander leaves 1/2 cup
Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
Green chillies, chopped 2
Cinnamon (1-inch piece) 1
Salt To taste

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Paste:
Begin by placing the chopped onion, mint leaves, green coriander, fennel seeds, green chillies, and cinnamon into a mixer grinder. Grind them into a smooth paste. This blend of fresh ingredients forms the base of the kebab’s flavor.

  2. Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, add the ground paste to the minced chicken. Stir well to combine, ensuring the mixture is evenly seasoned with the herbs and spices.

  3. Add Binding Ingredients:
To this mixture, add the boiled and mashed potato along with the gram flour. The potato will help bind the mixture together, while the gram flour adds texture. Mix everything thoroughly until it’s well combined and the consistency is firm enough to mold onto skewers.

  4. Shape the Kebabs:
Take small portions of the chicken mixture and mold them around skewers. Press the mixture gently so it sticks to the skewer and forms an even, cylindrical shape. Repeat the process for the rest of the mixture, ensuring each kebab is uniformly shaped.

  5. Cook the Seekh Kebabs:
Heat a little oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the kebabs in the pan. Cook them on all sides, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and fully cooked through—this should take about 25-30 minutes.

  6. Serve:
Once cooked to perfection, remove the kebabs from the pan and serve them hot. Pair them with a refreshing coriander-mint chutney for added flavor. These Chicken Seekh Kebabs are perfect as a party appetizer or a savory snack.
