Bakso Sapi (Indonesian Beef Meatballs)
Ingredients:

- 250 grams of beef (finely minced)
- 3-4 tablespoons of tapioca flour
- 1.5 tablespoons of fried shallots
- 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- Beef or chicken bouillon powder (to taste)
- 1 egg white
- A few ice cubes
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Mixture:
In a food processor or chopper, combine the finely minced beef, tapioca flour, fried shallots, minced garlic, salt, ground black pepper, bouillon powder, and egg white. Blend the mixture until smooth and well-combined. If needed, add a few ice cubes to help with the blending process and to keep the mixture cold. -
Cook the Meatballs:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Using a spoon and your hands, take small amounts of the meatball mixture and form them into small balls. Gently drop each meatball into the boiling water. -
Simmer Until Cooked:
Continue to cook the meatballs in the boiling water until they float to the surface and are fully cooked. This should take a few minutes. Once the meatballs are floating, they are ready to be removed from the pot. -
Serve:
Remove the cooked meatballs from the water using a slotted spoon. Serve hot in your favorite broth or with a dipping sauce.
Enjoy these tender and flavorful Bakso Sapi as a delicious addition to your meal or as a tasty snack on their own!
