Lodeh Krecek Tahu Tempe Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 package krecek (approximately 250g), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 block tempeh, diced
- 5 pieces cooked tofu, cubed
- 3 stalks petai (stink beans), sliced
- 200 ml instant coconut milk
- Sufficient water
- 2 cm piece of galangal, crushed
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- To taste, seasoning
- For the Spice Paste:
- 3 cloves garlic
- 6 shallots
- 10 red bird’s eye chilies (or large chilies)
- 2 cm turmeric
- 4 roasted candlenuts
- 1 teaspoon salt

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cut the tempeh and tofu into cubes. Slice the krecek and petai. Rinse the petai thoroughly.

Make the Spice Paste:
- Blend the garlic, shallots, red chilies, turmeric, candlenuts, and salt into a smooth paste.

Cook the Spice Paste:
- Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the spice paste and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the crushed galangal and kaffir lime leaves to the pan. Continue to sauté until the mixture becomes aromatic.

Add the Ingredients:
- Stir in the petai and krecek. Cook until the krecek begins to brown slightly.
- Add the diced tempeh and tofu. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Add the instant coconut milk and stir well.

Season and Simmer:
- Stir in the granulated sugar and seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
- Allow the mixture to come to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook gently, stirring occasionally to prevent the coconut milk from curdling.

- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Once the dish has reached the desired consistency and is heated through, remove from heat.
