Sop Ayam ‘Semua Bisa’: A Delightful Indonesian Chicken Soup
Ingredients:
- 250 grams chicken wings, cleaned and set aside
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
- A handful of cabbage, chopped
- Fresh celery, chopped to taste
- 1 stalk green onion, cut into short pieces
- 1/4 tomato, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
- 3 shallots, thinly sliced
- Ground spices:
- Black pepper, to taste
- A pinch of garlic
- Salt, to taste
- 750 ml water

In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt. Once the water is boiling, add the chicken wings, carrots, and cabbage. Cook until the chicken is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.

While the soup base is cooking, heat a small amount of oil in a pan. Fry the sliced garlic and shallots until golden and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the ground spices, salt, and additional seasoning to the pot of chicken and vegetables. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

Once the flavors are balanced, add the chopped tomato, celery, green onion, and the crispy garlic and shallots to the pot.
