Telur Gulung / Sate Telur Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: a pinch of seasoning or pepper for added flavor
  • Skewers

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the egg, water, and salt until well combined. If desired, add a pinch of your preferred seasoning or pepper to enhance the flavor.

  2. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, pour a generous amount of oil and heat it until it is very hot. The oil needs to be sufficiently hot to ensure the egg cooks quickly and evenly.

  3. Cook the Egg: Once the oil is hot, pour a small ladleful of the egg mixture into the pan. The amount should be just enough to cover the base of the pan thinly.

  4. Roll the Egg: As soon as the egg mixture begins to set, use a skewer to carefully roll the egg from one edge to the other, forming a spiral or roll.

  5. Crisp the Egg Roll: Allow the rolled egg to cook for a short while until it becomes slightly crispy on the outside.

  6. Repeat: Remove the rolled egg from the pan and repeat the process until all the egg mixture is used.

  7. Serve: Once all the egg rolls are cooked, arrange them on a plate and serve immediately.
