Sautéed Beef with Long Beans
Ingredients:
- 400 grams of beef
- 1/2 bunch of long beans
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4 shallots
- 1 piece of ginger (about the size of your thumb)
- 1 piece of aromatic ginger (kencur) (about the size of your thumb)
- Salt to taste
- Granulated sugar to taste
- Soy sauce to taste
Steps:

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Clean and wash the beef thoroughly. Cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- Trim the long beans and cut them into approximately 5 cm (2 inches) pieces.
- Peel and crush the garlic and shallots.
- Slice the ginger and kencur into thin pieces.

Blend the Spices:
- Using a mortar and pestle or a food processor, blend the garlic and shallots into a fine paste. Set aside the ginger and kencur as they will be used later.

- Heat a little oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the blended garlic and shallots paste to the hot oil and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the beef pieces to the wok and cook until the beef starts to brown.

- Add the long beans to the wok and stir-fry for a few minutes until they start to soften.

- Season the dish with salt, sugar, and soy sauce to taste. Continue to stir-fry until the beef is fully cooked and the beans are tender but still crisp.
