Tahu Telur Timun Tauge Kuah Kacang (TTKK)

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 block of tofu
  • Cucumber, as needed
  • Bean sprouts, as needed

For the Peanut Sauce:

  • Roasted peanuts
  • Shallots
  • Garlic cloves
  • Dried chili peppers
  • Bird’s eye chili peppers
  • Palm sugar

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Fry the tofu until golden brown and set aside.
    • Fry the egg to your desired doneness and set aside.
    • Blanch the bean sprouts in boiling water for a minute, then drain and set aside.
    • Slice the cucumber into thin, bite-sized pieces.
  2. Make the Peanut Sauce:

    • In a food processor or mortar and pestle, grind the roasted peanuts until smooth.
    • Add shallots, garlic, dried chili peppers, and bird’s eye chili peppers to the ground peanuts and continue to grind until you achieve a smooth consistency.
    • Mix in the palm sugar to balance the heat and add a hint of sweetness.
  3. Assemble the Dish:

    • Place the fried egg on a serving plate.
    • Cut the fried tofu into bite-sized pieces and arrange them on top of the egg.
    • Add the blanched bean sprouts and sliced cucumber on top of the tofu and egg.
  4. Serve:

    • Generously pour the peanut sauce over the assembled ingredients.
