Cilok Isi Telur Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Cilok Dough:
- 250 grams tapioca flour
- 200 grams all-purpose flour (use 150 grams for a chewier texture)
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 ½ packets of chicken bouillon powder
- 250 ml warm water
For the Filling:
- 2 eggs, cooked and diced
For the Sauce:
- 100 grams peanuts, roasted
- 3 cloves garlic, fried
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- Palm sugar, to taste
- Salt, to taste

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Gather all the ingredients for the cilok dough, filling, and sauce.

Make the Cilok Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the tapioca flour, all-purpose flour, minced garlic, ground black pepper, and chicken bouillon powder.
- Gradually add the warm water, mixing continuously until the dough is smooth and well combined. The dough should be firm yet pliable, not sticky or too dry.

Form the Cilok:
- Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it in the palm of your hand. Place a small cube of the cooked egg in the center of the dough.
- Gently fold the edges of the dough over the filling and roll it into a ball. Repeat this process until all the dough and filling are used.

Cook the Cilok:
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop the cilok balls into the boiling water.
- Once the cilok float to the surface, transfer them to a steamer. Steam the cilok for 15 minutes or until fully cooked through.

- In a blender or food processor, blend the roasted peanuts and fried garlic until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a saucepan. Add a cup of water, sweet soy sauce, palm sugar, and salt. Stir well and bring to a boil. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
