Semur Daging Sapi: Indonesian Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of Beef Shank or Brisket, cut into small pieces
  • 2 Medium Tomatoes
  • 6 Shallots, thinly sliced
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Potatoes or Tofu, cut and fried
  • Spices and Seasonings:
    • Nutmeg (to taste)
    • Salt (to taste)
    • Sugar (to taste)
    • Pepper (to taste)
    • Sweet Soy Sauce (to taste)
    • Broth (to taste)

Preparation Steps

  1. Preparation:

    • Gather all ingredients.
    • Cut the beef into small pieces.
    • Slice the tomatoes, shallots, and garlic thinly.
  2. Initial Cooking:

    • Bring water to a boil and add the beef pieces.
    • After 2 minutes, discard the water and replace it with fresh water.
