  • 2 cm galangal, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 lime, for rinsing fish
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • Fresh basil leaves, chili peppers, and tomatoes for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Fish:

    • Clean the cakalang thoroughly and cut into pieces. Rub the fish with salt and lime juice, then let it sit for 10 minutes. This will help remove any fishy smell and enhance the flavor.
