Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter:

    • Begin by placing the eggs into a mixing bowl.
    • Using an electric hand mixer, beat the eggs until light and fluffy.
    • Add the ricotta cheese and continue mixing until smooth.
  2. Add Dry Ingredients:

    • Gradually incorporate the flour into the egg mixture. Add all at once to make it easier to mix.
    • Mix in the baking powder and a pinch of salt. Keep stirring with the mixer to ensure all ingredients are well blended.
  3. Fold in Chocolate Chips:

    • Gently fold half of the dark chocolate chips into the batter. This will give the cake its signature chocolatey goodness.
  4. Bake the Cake:

    • Prepare a 20 cm round cake pan by lining it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and level the top with a spatula.
    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) in static mode.
    • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown. Use a toothpick to test for doneness—insert it into the center of the cake, and if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
