Ingredients

  • Milk – 3/4 cup
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

  • Egg – 1 large
  • Unsifted Flour – 3 1/2 cups, divided

Instructions

  1. Scald the Milk: Start by pouring 3/4 cup of milk into a 2-cup measuring cup. Microwave it for up to 3 minutes, or until it’s scalded. The milk should be hot but not boiling.

  7. Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release any air bubbles. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into 24 equal-sized rolls.

  8. Prepare for Baking: Arrange the rolls in a 9×13 inch baking pan or on a jelly roll pan. Cover them with a towel and let them rise again for approximately 30 minutes, or until they’ve puffed up and are nearly doubled in size.

  9. Bake: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the rolls for about 15 minutes, or until they are lightly browned and have a golden crust.
