Instructions:

  1. Begin by coring the cabbage while keeping it whole.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the cabbage.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the cabbage and set it aside to cool.
  5. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  15. Cover the rice with 4 cabbage leaves, tucking the ends inside the colander.
  16. Fill a large pot with about 1 inch of water and place the colander with the stuffed cabbage inside.
  17. Cover and steam the cabbage for 20 minutes.
  18. Remove from heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  19. Place a flat serving plate upside down on top of the colander.
  20. Hold them firmly together and carefully flip them over.
  21. Gently lift the colander off the cabbage and unveil your masterpiece.
