Korean Rolled Omelet (Gyeranmari) Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs (preferably omega-3 enriched)
- 2 green onions, finely sliced
- 1/2 carrot, diced
- 1/4 onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons UHT milk
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Butter or margarine, for greasing the pan
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, diced carrot, green onions, diced onion, milk, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended.
-
Preheat the Pan: Lightly grease a non-stick frying pan with butter or margarine. Heat the pan over low heat until it is slightly warm.
-
Cook the Omelet: Pour one-third of the egg mixture into the heated pan. Let it cook until it is half set, then gently roll one side of the omelet towards the center.
-
Layer and Roll: Add another third of the egg mixture to the pan. Allow it to cook until it is half set, then roll the previously cooked portion over this new layer. Repeat this process by adding more egg mixture, cooking it partially, and rolling the omelet until all the mixture is used and cooked.
-
Cool and Slice: Once the omelet is fully cooked, remove it from the pan and let it cool. After it has cooled, slice the rolled omelet diagonally into pieces.
