Simple Butter Fried Chicken (Ayam Goreng Mentega)

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 packet of Sa*ri Rasa Butter Sauce
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • A splash of water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Start by cleaning the chicken pieces and cutting them into your preferred sizes. Place them in a bowl.

  2. Marinate the Chicken: In the bowl with the chicken, combine the salt, black pepper, lime juice, and a splash of water. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or longer if time permits.

  3. Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the marinated chicken until it is cooked through and crispy, adjusting the cooking time to your preference. Once done, drain the chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.

  4. Prepare the Sauce: In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until they become soft and fragrant.

  5. Combine and Cook: Add the fried chicken to the pan with the sautéed onions and garlic. Stir well to coat the chicken with the flavors. Pour in a splash of water and add the packet of Sa*ri Rasa Butter Sauce. Mix thoroughly and let it cook until the sauce is slightly reduced and well incorporated.

  6. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Since the Sa*ri Rasa Butter Sauce is already seasoned, additional salt may not be necessary.

  7. Serve: Serve the butter-fried chicken hot, right from the pan. Enjoy!
