Mango and Nutella® Tartlets

Nutella® 120g
Mango 1
Shredded coconut To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tart Crust:
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and cereal mix. Use your fingers to quickly work them together until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  2. Add Sugar and Salt:
    Stir in the brown sugar and a pinch of fine salt, mixing for a few more seconds.

  3. Incorporate the Eggs:
    Add the whole eggs and continue mixing until the dough comes together. Work the mixture until it forms a smooth, uniform dough.

  4. Rest the Dough:
    Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

  5. Prepare the Tartlet Shells:
    After resting, lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough. You will need 8 tartlet pans, slightly flared, with a base measurement of 9 cm (bottom) and 10 cm (top) diameter, and about 3 cm in height.

  6. Shape the Dough:
    Roll out the dough to a thickness of around 3mm and use the tartlet pans as molds. Place each tartlet pan on the rolled dough, and cut around the edges, leaving a 2 cm border.

  7. Fit the Dough into the Pans:
    Gently press the dough into the tartlet pans to ensure it fits snugly along the base and sides. Remove any excess dough and trim the edges with a small knife.

  8. Prick the Base:
    Use a fork to prick the bottom of each tartlet shell to prevent puffing during baking.

  9. Bake:
    Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) in static mode. Place the tartlets on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely before removing the tartlet shells from their pans.

  10. Prepare the Mango:
    While the tartlet shells cool, peel and pit the mango. Slice it into thin, 3 mm wide pieces.

  11. Fill with Nutella®:
    Once the tartlet shells have cooled, fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle (12 mm) with Nutella®. Pipe approximately 15g of Nutella® into each tartlet shell, starting from the center and working out towards the edges.

  12. Decorate with Mango:
    Arrange the thin mango slices in overlapping circular patterns on top of the Nutella®, creating a flower-petal effect.

  13. Finish with Coconut:
    Optionally, sprinkle a little shredded coconut on top to enhance the tropical flavor.

  14. Serve and Enjoy:
    Allow the tartlets to set before serving. These delightful mango and Nutella® tartlets make for a perfect dessert to impress your guests or enjoy as a sweet treat!
