Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 lbs boneless beef round steak, cut into 6 pieces
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 package herb stuffing mix
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Cut the boneless beef round steak into 6 serving-size pieces. Slice the mushrooms and onion.

  2. Layer in Slow Cooker: In a 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker, layer half of the beef pieces, sliced mushrooms, and sliced onion.

  3. Add Soup: Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the ingredients in the slow cooker.

  4. Cook on Low: Cover and cook on the low setting for 8 to 10 hours, or until the beef is tender and no longer pink.

  5. Prepare Stuffing: In a bowl, toss the herb stuffing mix with the contents of the seasoning packet, melted margarine, and 1/2 cup of the liquid from the slow cooker.

  6. Add Stuffing: Place the prepared stuffing mix on top of the contents in the slow cooker.

  7. Increase Heat: Increase the heat setting to high and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the stuffing is fluffy.

  8. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the dish in the slow cooker.

  9. Melt Cheese: Cover and cook until the cheese is melted.
