Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
150g Wheat flour
1 Red chili pepper
250g Besan
1 Ghee
3 Jeera powder
1/2 Kala jeera
1/2 Salt
1 Ajwain

Instructions:

  1. Mix the wheat flour and besan together in a large mixing bowl until well combined.

  2. Add oil, salt, red chili powder, dhaniya, jeera, kala jeera, and ajwain to the flour mixture.

  3. Mix well using your hands or a spoon until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  4. Gradually add water to the mixture while kneading to form a stiff dough. Adjust the amount of water as needed until you achieve the desired consistency.

  5. Once the dough is ready, divide it into small portions and roll each portion into a smooth ball.

  6. Flatten each dough ball using a rolling pin to form small and thick rotis. Aim for a thickness that suits your preference.

  7. Heat a tava or griddle over medium heat. Place a rolled roti onto the hot surface and cook for about a minute or until bubbles start to appear on the surface.

  8. Flip the roti using a spatula and cook the other side for another minute or until it develops golden brown spots.

  9. Optionally, you can brush the cooked roti with melted ghee for extra flavor and richness.

  10. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls until all the rotis are cooked.

  11. Serve hot with Shahi Gatte or your favorite curry dish for a delicious and satisfying meal!

Enjoy the warm and comforting flavors of homemade Missi Roti, perfect for any meal of the day! 🌟🍞
