Sop Ayam Ngeres No MSG

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams chicken, boiled and set aside
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 candlenuts
  • 5 shallots
  • Ground pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 cabbage leaves
  • 2 carrots
  • Green onions, to taste
  • Celery leaves, to taste
  • 1 tomato

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Slice the shallots.
    • Grind the garlic, candlenuts, ground pepper, and salt into a smooth paste.
    • Chop the cabbage leaves, carrots, green onions, celery leaves, and tomato into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cooking Steps:

    • In a pan, sauté the sliced shallots until they are half-cooked.
    • Add the ground spice paste to the shallots and continue to sauté until fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth from the boiled chicken.
    • Add the pre-boiled chicken into the pan.
    • Bring the mixture to a boil, then add the carrots first.
    • After a few minutes, add the remaining vegetables (cabbage, green onions, celery leaves, and tomato).
    • Stir occasionally and taste to adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  3. Final Steps:

    • Once all the vegetables are cooked and the flavors are well combined, turn off the heat.
    • Your Sop Ayam Ngeres No MSG is ready to serve!
