Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup wild rice
- 1/2 cup pearl barley
- 1/2 cup brown rice
- 1/4 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cups mushrooms
- 4 cups broth
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 3 1/2 cups dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

Preparation:
- Combine wild rice, pearl barley, and brown rice in a mixing bowl. Set aside.

Saute Onion and Garlic:
- Pour oil into a 2 to 3 quart casserole safe for stovetop and oven cooking. Place it on medium heat.
- Saute onion and garlic until tender and translucent, about 5 to 6 minutes.

Add Mixed Grains:
- Add the mixed grains to the casserole and saute for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Saute Mushrooms:
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a separate pan over medium-high heat.
- Add mushrooms and saute quickly, stirring frequently, until they are hot and have absorbed the butter, about 1 minute.
- Immediately remove from heat.

- Add the broth, dried thyme, dried oregano, and sauteed mushrooms to the casserole with the onions and grains.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
