Delicious Strawberries and Cream Dessert

Category: Desserts
Servings: 12 pieces

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
All-purpose flour 250g
Powdered sugar 100g
Butter 125g
Eggs 110g
Fresh strawberries 200g
Fresh liquid cream 500g
Sugar 100g

Instructions
For this delectable strawberries and cream dessert, begin by preparing the crumble dough. In a food processor, combine the all-purpose flour and powdered sugar. Pulse on medium speed until the mixture resembles a coarse, sandy texture. Then, add the eggs and continue processing until the dough comes together.

Once the dough is formed, transfer it onto a lightly floured surface, shape it into a ball, and wrap it in plastic wrap. Allow it to rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

While the dough is resting, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with static heat. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Grate the chilled dough using a coarse grater and spread the crumbled dough evenly on the tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until it’s lightly golden and firm to the touch.

Next, wash, dry, and slice the fresh strawberries. Set them aside. In a mixing bowl, pour the fresh cream and whip it using a hand mixer until it reaches stiff peaks. Once whipped, gently fold in the sliced strawberries, ensuring they are evenly incorporated with the cream.

Now it’s time to assemble the dessert. Take a baking tray and line it with parchment paper. Place a metal rectangular mold (25×17 cm, without a base) in the center of the tray. Begin by spreading half of the freshly baked crumble mixture at the bottom of the mold. Press down gently to create an even, compact layer. Then, pour the whipped cream and strawberry mixture over the crumble layer.

Finish off the dessert by adding the remaining crumble on top, distributing it evenly for a final layer of texture.

Place the dessert in the freezer and allow it to chill for at least 3 hours, or until it is firm and fully set.

Once the dessert is frozen and ready, remove it from the mold. To do this easily, use a kitchen torch to lightly warm the edges of the mold, or if you don’t have a torch, you can use a hairdryer for a few seconds. Alternatively, wait a few minutes and gently run a knife along the edges to loosen it from the mold.

Carefully lift the mold, ensuring not to damage the dessert. Once unmolded, cut the dessert into 12 equal pieces. Allow the strawberries and cream dessert to rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving.

Enjoy your refreshing and indulgent strawberries and cream dessert! This delightful treat is sure to be a hit at any occasion.
