Ingredients

  • 200 grams minced kampung (village) chicken
  • 50 grams minced beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Ice-cold water, as needed
  • A pinch of coarse sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon potato flour (alternatively, use cornstarch, tapioca, or sago flour)
  • 1 liter water for boiling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat Mixture:

    • Begin by finely chopping or blending the minced beef, garlic, and a pinch of coarse sea salt. To facilitate the blending process, add some ice-cold water.
    • Once the beef mixture is smooth or nearly smooth, add the minced kampung chicken. Mix thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Incorporate the Flour:

    • Transfer the meat mixture into a bowl. Add the potato flour (or cornstarch, tapioca, or sago flour if potato flour is unavailable). This ingredient helps bind the mixture together.
  3. Shape and Cook the Meatballs:

    • Bring a pot of water to a boil. Using two spoons, shape the meat mixture into small balls and gently drop them into the boiling water.
    • Continue to cook until all the meatballs are floating and firm, indicating they are cooked through.
  4. Cool and Store:
