Instructions

  1. Roast the Oats: Start by dry roasting the instant oats in a kadai over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Stir gently to ensure even roasting. Once done, transfer the roasted oats to a plate and allow them to cool.

  2. Powder the Oats: Once cooled, place the oats in a grinder and blend to a fine powder. Set aside.

  3. Roast the Besan: In the same kadai, dry roast the gram flour (besan) over medium heat. Stir continuously to prevent burning. The besan is ready when it loses its raw smell and takes on a slightly toasted aroma, typically in 10-12 minutes.

  4. Combine Ingredients: Remove the roasted besan from heat and add the roasted oats powder, powdered sugar, and cardamom powder. Mix gently with a wooden spoon to combine all ingredients thoroughly.

  5. Melt the Ghee: Melt the ghee in a microwave or on the stove until fully liquefied.

  6. Form the Ladoos: Gradually add the melted ghee, one spoon at a time, to the mixture, folding it in until it resembles wet sand and starts to clump together. Allow the mixture to cool enough to handle.

  7. Shape the Ladoos: Grease your palms with a little ghee and take small portions of the mixture to shape into ladoos of your desired size.

  8. Garnish: Roll the shaped ladoos in coarsely powdered pistachios or any nut of your choice for a delightful finish.

  9. Serve or Store: Arrange the Besan Oats Ladoo on a festive platter for celebrations or store them in an airtight container for later enjoyment. These ladoos also make for a nutritious addition to your child’s snack box!

Serve the Besan Oats Ladoo after meals or alongside dishes like Palak Dal, Bharwa Baingan, and Phulka for a wholesome dining experience. Enjoy the ultimate blend of taste and nutrition!
