Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Layer
Begin by pouring two tablespoons of the strawberry juice drink into each 3-ounce paper cup. This will be the base of your popsicle. The paper cups are perfect for this, and they make it easy to peel off once the popsicle is ready to serve.

  2. Freeze the First Layer
Place the cups on a baking sheet to ensure they stay upright. Transfer them to a flat, level space in the freezer, and allow the strawberry juice to freeze for 1-1/2 hours. This will create the red layer of your popsicle.

  3. Insert Popsicle Sticks
After the strawberry juice layer has frozen solid, carefully remove the cups from the freezer. Insert a popsicle stick into each cup, then return the cups to the freezer for an additional 1-1/2 hours. At this point, the red layer should be firm, allowing you to add the second layer without mixing them together.

  4. Prepare the Lemonade Layer
Once the strawberry layer is frozen and the popsicle sticks are securely in place, pour two tablespoons of lemonade into each cup, layering it on top of the frozen strawberry juice. Place the cups back into the freezer for 2 hours to freeze the lemonade layer.

  5. Add the Blue Raspberry Layer
After the lemonade layer has set, take the cups out of the freezer again. Pour two tablespoons of the blue raspberry drink on top of the frozen lemonade layer, filling each cup. Return the cups to the freezer and allow them to freeze for another 2 hours, solidifying the blue layer.

  6. Enjoy!
Once all layers have fully frozen, your Red, White & Blue Berry Pops are ready! To remove the popsicles from the paper cups, simply peel the cups off gently, and enjoy a delicious frozen treat full of fruity flavors.

These homemade popsicles are perfect for cooling off during hot summer days and make an adorable addition to any patriotic-themed celebration, whether it’s for the Fourth of July or simply a fun, colorful snack for the family.

Tips:

  • For Variety: You can switch up the flavors based on what juices or drinks you have available. Try using other fruity drinks like orange or grape juice for different color variations.
  • Making them Ahead: These popsicles can be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer for several days. Just make sure they’re covered well to prevent freezer burn.
  • Serving Ideas: These are fun to serve at parties or outdoor barbecues, especially for kids who will love the bright colors and fruity flavor combinations.

These popsicles are not only fun to make but also a great way to involve kids in the kitchen. It’s a wonderful project that leads to a tasty and refreshing treat everyone will enjoy.
