Lontong Tahu Baso with Peanut Sauce

Shrimp Paste (Terasi) To taste

Chicken Broth Powder To taste
Salt To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Cut the Tahu Baso into large cubes and season with chicken broth powder. Let it marinate for a while.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics: In a pan, heat oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the shrimp paste (terasi) and continue to sauté until aromatic.

  3. Simmer the Tofu: Pour in enough water to create a broth and bring it to a boil. Add the marinated tofu and cook until the mixture is boiling again.

  4. Season the Broth: Add salt, sugar, and the peanut sauce mix. Stir well and adjust the seasoning to taste.

  5. Add Vegetables: Finally, incorporate the bean sprouts and cabbage. Cook just until the vegetables are tender, then turn off the heat.

  6. Serve: On a serving plate, arrange the lontong. Top with the prepared tofu mixture, garnish with green onions or fried shallots, drizzle with sweet soy sauce, and serve with crackers on the side.
