Stir-Fried Caisim with Egg (Tumis Ca Caisim + Telor)
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of caisim (Chinese mustard greens)
- 1 egg
- 3 shallots
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 red chilies
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon additional salt (optional)
- Seasoning to taste (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
Instructions:
-
Begin by thoroughly washing the caisim. Cut it into bite-sized pieces according to your preference.
-
Finely chop the shallots, garlic, and red chilies.
-
Heat the cooking oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and scramble it until fully cooked. Push the scrambled egg to one side of the skillet.
-
In the same skillet, add the chopped shallots and garlic. Sauté until they become fragrant and slightly golden.
-
Add the chopped red chilies to the skillet. Continue to cook for another minute, allowing the flavors to meld together.
-
Season with salt, ground black pepper, and any additional salt if desired. Stir well to combine.
-
Add the caisim to the skillet. Stir-fry the caisim, mixing it with the other ingredients. If the mixture seems too dry, add a splash of water to help the vegetables cook evenly.
-
Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add a pinch of sugar and seasoning to taste if desired.
-
Serve hot as a flavorful and nutritious side dish or light main course.
Enjoy this vibrant and easy-to-make stir-fry, perfect for a quick weeknight meal!
