Quick and Simple Beef Rib Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg fresh beef ribs
  • 2 liters water
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 bunch celery
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 cm ginger, crushed
  • Fried shallots, for garnish
  • Spice Paste:
    • 3 cloves garlic
    • 4 shallots
    • A pinch of black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Ribs: Cut the beef ribs into pieces and wash them thoroughly.

  2. Boil the Ribs: In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil. Add the beef ribs, a pinch of salt, and the crushed ginger. Let it cook for about 20 minutes, until the ribs are tender.

  3. Prepare the Vegetables and Spice Paste:

    • While the ribs are cooking, finely grind the garlic, shallots, and black pepper to make the spice paste.
    • Slice the carrots, tomato, green onions, and celery. Be sure to wash all vegetables thoroughly.
  4. Combine Ingredients: After 20 minutes, add the prepared spice paste and sliced carrots to the pot. Allow it to cook for another 7 minutes.
