Ingredients:

  • 250 grams beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 red chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, sliced
  • 1 sachet Saori oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Cornstarch slurry:
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1 tablespoon cold water

Marinating the Beef:

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
  2. Mix thoroughly to create the marinade.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse the meat.

Preparing the Dish:

  1. Clean and thinly slice the beef, then mix it with the marinade. Let it sit in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes.
  2. Slice the onion, garlic, and shallots. Also, slice the red chilies according to your taste preferences.
  3. Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced onion, shallots, minced garlic, and red chilies to the pan. Sauté until they turn golden brown and fragrant.
  5. Introduce the marinated beef to the pan. Stir well to combine with the aromatics.
  6. Pour in the Saori oyster sauce and mix thoroughly. Adjust the consistency with water if desired.
  7. To thicken the sauce, add the cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water) to the pan. Stir continuously until the sauce has thickened and the flavors are well combined.
  8. Cook until the beef is fully cooked and the sauce has reached your preferred consistency.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot.
