Teriyaki Beef Empuk Super Simple

Ingredients

  • For the Beef:

    • 100 grams of beef
    • 1/4 onion (or to taste)
    • 1/2 teaspoon sweet soy sauce
    • 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1/4 teaspoon oyster sauce
    • Margarine, as needed for sautéing
  • For the Marinade:

    • A small piece of ginger
    • 1 clove garlic
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
    • Ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preparation:

    • Thoroughly clean the beef and cut it into small slices.
    • Mince the ginger and garlic. Combine these with the other marinade ingredients: soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, and ground black pepper. Mix well.
    • Add the beef slices to the marinade mixture, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  2. Cooking:

    • After the beef has marinated, heat a pan over medium heat and add enough margarine to sauté.
    • Once the pan is hot, add the marinated beef. Reduce the heat to low.
    • Add the sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chopped onion to the pan. Stir well to combine.
    • Cover the pan and let the beef cook until tender, occasionally stirring and checking for doneness.
    • Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  3. Serving:

    • Once the beef is cooked and tender, remove from heat.
    • Serve hot, accompanied by steamed rice or your favorite side dishes.
