Serves: 8
Ingredients:
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Lambrusco wine | 375g |
Water | 250g |
Sugar | 125g |
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Syrup: Begin by preparing the syrup. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Place the mixture over medium heat and bring it to a boil. Allow it to simmer for about 2 minutes until the sugar dissolves completely.
-
Add the Wine: Once the sugar syrup has boiled for 2 minutes, pour in the Lambrusco wine. Let the mixture simmer gently for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together.
-
Cool the Mixture: Carefully pour the wine-sugar mixture into a jug and set it aside to cool to room temperature.
-
Churn in the Ice Cream Maker: Once the mixture has cooled, pour it into the bowl of your ice cream maker. Follow the instructions for your specific machine. For the model we used, there is no need to pre-cool the bowl in the refrigerator.
-
Serve: Once the granita has reached the desired texture, serve it immediately in chilled glasses to prevent it from melting too quickly.
