Red Chilli powder 1/2 tablespoon

Instructions:

  1. Roast the Cumin Seeds: Begin by preheating a pan on medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add the cumin seeds. Stir occasionally and roast them until they begin to turn golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them. Once done, remove the cumin seeds from the pan and set them aside to cool.

  2. Grind the Cumin Seeds: After the roasted cumin seeds have cooled down, transfer them to a mortar and pestle. Grind them into a fine powder. This will release the full flavor and aroma of the cumin.

  3. Prepare the Raita: In a mixing bowl, whisk the yogurt until it’s smooth and creamy. Add the grated cucumber to the bowl, followed by the freshly ground cumin powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix everything together well until the ingredients are fully combined.
