Instructions

Making the Salted Caramel Sauce:

  1. Prepare the caramel sauce:
    Begin by heating a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add the salted butter and sugar to the pan, stirring occasionally. Allow the sugar to melt, and continue stirring until it reaches a dark golden color, which will take about 5 minutes. Be careful not to let it burn.

  2. Create the caramel base:
    As soon as the sugar reaches a golden brown hue and begins to bubble, remove the pan from the heat.
