Instructions:

To make Fagiolini alla Pugliese, a traditional Italian side dish, start by preparing the green beans. Begin by trimming the ends of the green beans, and if necessary, remove any stringy fibers—although tender, young beans typically don’t have these. Once prepped, set them aside.

In a large pan or skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add the fresh chili, which you can cut open and deseed if you prefer less heat, along with the garlic cloves, gently crushed with the back of a knife. Let the garlic infuse the oil until it turns golden and fragrant.
