Tumis Sawi Tahu

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Sawi hijau (Chinese mustard greens) 1.5 bunches, cut into 3 cm pieces, washed and drained
Tahu putih (tofu) 5 pieces, cut into cubes
Minyak goreng (cooking oil) 2 tablespoons
Kaldu bubuk (broth powder) 1 teaspoon
Garam (salt) To taste
Air (water) A splash, as needed
Bumbu iris (sliced spices):
Bawang merah (shallots) 4 cloves, sliced
Bawang putih (garlic) 2 cloves, sliced
Cabe merah keriting (red curly chili) 4 pieces, sliced diagonally
Cabe rawit merah (red bird’s eye chili) 2 pieces, sliced diagonally
Cabe rawit hijau (green bird’s eye chili) 5 pieces, sliced diagonally
Tomat merah (red tomato) 1/4, diced

Instructions

  1. Heat the Oil: In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat until hot. Add the sliced shallots, garlic, and all the chilis, and sauté until fragrant and golden brown.

  2. Add Tofu: Carefully add the cubed tofu to the pan. Sprinkle in the broth powder and salt, mixing gently to coat the tofu evenly.

  3. Incorporate Greens: Add the Chinese mustard greens and a splash of water to the pan. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Cook until the greens are tender and the flavors meld.

  4. Final Touch: Just before serving, add the diced tomato to the mixture. Stir and cook for an additional minute until the tomato softens slightly.
