Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tauge (bean sprouts) 2000 grams
Bawang merah (shallots) 4, thinly sliced
Bawang putih (garlic) 3, thinly sliced
Cabe merah besar (large red chili) 1, thinly sliced
Cabe kecil (small chili) 2, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Begin by thinly slicing all the aromatics: shallots, garlic, large red chili, and small chilis.
  2. In a large pan, heat a splash of oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced aromatics until fragrant.
  3. Once the mixture is aromatic, add a small amount of water to the pan to create a slight broth.
  4. Introduce the thinly sliced tofu and tempeh to the pan, stirring gently to combine.
  5. After a couple of minutes, add the clean tauge and mix everything well.
  6. Allow the mixture to cook until the tauge is tender but still crisp, adjusting seasoning with kecap and penyedap rasa to enhance the flavor.
  7. Don’t forget to taste as you go to ensure perfect seasoning, and add a bit more kecap for color and sweetness.
  8. Once everything is well-cooked, garnish with chopped daun bawang.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your vibrant Oseng Tauge, Tahu, and Tempe!
