Tumis Toge Tahu

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Toge (bean sprouts) 100 grams
Tahu (tofu, cut into cubes) 1/2 block, lightly fried
Daun bawang (green onions) 1 stalk
Bawang merah (red shallots) 6 cloves
Bawang putih (garlic) 2 cloves
Cabe kriting merah (red chili) 5 pieces
Cabe rawit (bird’s eye chili) 5 pieces
Cabe hijau besar (large green chili) 1 piece
Garam (salt) to taste
Gula pasir (sugar) to taste
Penyedap rasa (seasoning) to taste
Minyak untuk menumis (cooking oil) as needed

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the sliced shallots, garlic, and chilies until fragrant and golden brown.
  2. Add the lightly fried tofu cubes to the skillet and stir-fry for a few minutes until they are slightly crispy.
  3. Incorporate the toge and chopped daun bawang, stirring well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Season the mixture with salt, sugar, and seasoning. Pour in a splash of water to help cook the vegetables.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, then continue to cook until the toge is tender yet crisp.
  6. Serve warm as a delightful side dish or as part of your main meal, savoring the harmonious flavors of the spices and fresh ingredients. Enjoy!
