Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Prepare Crust:
- Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces.
- In a food processor, pulse together flour, cornmeal, and salt.
- Add the butter and pulse until the mixture looks like coarse meal.
- Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing after each addition.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 10x7x1 inch rectangular tart pan (removeable sides are helpful).
- Trim the dough flush with the top of the tart pan.
- Chill the crust for 15 minutes, then cover with foil and weights and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the weights and foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Remove and place on a rack to cool while preparing the filling.

- Chop the fresh basil well.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the goat cheese, unsalted butter, sour cream, eggs, and white pepper.
- Stir in the chopped basil.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust.

- Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes, cut side up, over the custard.
- Lightly press the tomatoes into the custard.
- Lightly season with salt and pepper.

- Bake the tart in the lower third of your oven for 25 minutes.
