Stir-Fried Beef and Broccoli à la D’kost
Ingredients
- 250 grams of high-quality beef
- 1 broccoli, cut into small pieces
- 1 cauliflower, cut into small pieces
- 1 medium carrot, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 1 small piece of ginger, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 500 ml water
- 200 ml beef broth (from the beef boiling process)
Preparation Steps

Clean and Prepare the Beef:
- Thoroughly clean the beef. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the beef, finely chopped garlic, and ginger. Allow it to boil until the water reduces significantly and the beef is cooked through. Remove the beef, cut it into cubes, and reserve the boiling water for broth.

Sauté the Aromatics:
- In a separate pan, heat some oil. Sauté the thinly sliced onion and garlic until they release a fragrant aroma and turn golden brown.

Cook the Vegetables:
- Add the broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot to the pan. Stir-fry until the vegetables begin to soften.

Combine and Season:
- Add the cubed beef to the pan, stirring to combine. Pour in the reserved beef broth, and season with salt, sugar, oyster sauce, and ground black pepper. Continue cooking until the sauce reduces.

Finish with Sweet Soy Sauce:
- Add the sweet soy sauce and stir until the sauce thickens and clings to the beef and vegetables.
