Ingredients:

  • 500 grams beef (preferably sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1 medium broccoli head
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 onion
  • 5 small red chilies (adjust to taste)
  • A small amount of butter or oil for sautéing
  • Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • Soy sauce (kecap asin)
  • Teriyaki sauce
  • White pepper
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • A splash of water
  • A small amount of cornstarch
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions:

  1. Blanch the Broccoli: Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 1 minute until they turn bright green and are slightly tender. Immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain and set aside.
