Ingredients:

  • 250 grams beef (thinly sliced while still semi-frozen)
  • 1 corn on the cob (kernels removed)
  • 1 piece of firm tofu (cut into small cubes, fried until golden)
  • 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • Seasoning Ingredients:
    • Salt and sugar to taste
    • 1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon ngohyong seasoning (or substitute with ground cinnamon)
    • Freshly ground pepper to taste
    • Sweet soy sauce to taste
    • Water as needed

Instructions:

  1. Sauté the Garlic: Begin by heating some oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  2. Cook the Beef and Corn: Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry until it starts to brown. Toss in the corn kernels and mix well.

  3. Season the Dish: Sprinkle in the salt, sugar, oyster sauce, ngohyong seasoning (or cinnamon if using), and freshly ground pepper. Stir to combine everything thoroughly.

  4. Simmer with Tofu: Add enough water to the pan to reach your desired sauce consistency. Gently fold in the fried tofu cubes. Cover the pan and let it simmer until the sauce thickens to your liking.

  5. Serve: Once the sauce has reduced and thickened, remove the pan from heat. Transfer the dish to a serving plate and enjoy!

This simple yet flavorful dish is perfect for a quick breakfast or a convenient lunchbox meal. It’s also an excellent everyday menu option. Enjoy cooking this delightful recipe, and don’t hesitate to try variations to suit your taste! 😊

Note: If you don’t have ngohyong seasoning, you can substitute it with a pinch of ground cinnamon. Happy cooking! 😊😊
