Beef with Oyster Sauce, Meatballs, and Black Pepper
Ingredients:
- 1/4 pound beef, cut into cubes
- 1 package of beef meatballs (10 small pieces)
- Oyster sauce
- 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 onion, sliced
- Paprika (or substitute with red/green chili)
- A little water (preferably beef broth from boiling)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef: Cut the beef into cubes and boil until tender. Reserve the boiling liquid for later use.
-
Cook the Meatballs: Boil the meatballs until they are half cooked. Drain the meatballs and beef thoroughly.
-
Marinate: In a mixing bowl, combine the beef and meatballs. Add oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 1 to 2 hours, preferably overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor absorption.
-
Sauté Vegetables: Slice the onion and paprika (or red/green chili). In a pan, sauté the onion and paprika until fragrant and slightly softened.
-
Combine Ingredients: Add the marinated beef and meatballs to the pan with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in some of the reserved beef broth or plain water if you prefer a lighter flavor.
-
Simmer: Allow the mixture to simmer until it thickens to your desired consistency.
-
Adjust Seasoning: Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning. If it’s not sweet enough, add a little more sweet soy sauce. If it’s too salty, add more water. Add more black pepper if needed for extra spice.
-
Serve: Once the sauce has thickened and the flavors are well-balanced, serve hot.
Enjoy this flavorful dish as a satisfying meal that blends the savory taste of beef and meatballs with the rich umami of oyster sauce and the kick of black pepper.
