Beef Tenderloin Steak with Rich Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients:
- For the Steak:
- 500 g beef tenderloin (cut into wide slices, avoid thickness)
- Marinade:
- 2 tablespoons Jay’s Beef Steak Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Kikkoman Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
- A pinch of salt (to taste)
- For the Sauce:
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 200 g button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 500 ml full cream milk
- 100 g grated Kraft cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt, sugar, and black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Marinade:
- In a bowl, combine Jay’s Beef Steak Seasoning, Kikkoman Soy Sauce, Teriyaki Sauce, Olive Oil, Oyster Sauce, and a pinch of salt.
- Rub this marinade mixture thoroughly over the beef tenderloin slices. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to infuse the meat.
- Before grilling, tenderize the meat gently by pounding it lightly.
-
Cook the Steak:
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the marinated beef tenderloin slices into the hot skillet.
- Sear each side of the beef for approximately 5 minutes, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness. Note: You do not need to add extra oil to the skillet.
- As the steak cooks, it will release juices. Do not discard these juices; instead, save them to incorporate into the sauce later.
-
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped garlic and onion to the pan, sautéing until they become translucent and aromatic.
- Stir in the flour, cooking for a minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and continue to cook until they soften.
- Gradually pour in the full cream milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Incorporate the grated cheese into the mixture, stirring over low heat until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce thickens.
- Season with dried oregano, parsley, salt, sugar, and black pepper to taste.
- Finally, add the reserved steak juices to the sauce, stirring to blend the flavors.
-
Serve:
- Slice the cooked beef tenderloin into bite-sized pieces for easier eating.
- Arrange the steak slices on a plate alongside steamed broccoli, carrots, and fried potatoes.
- Spoon the rich mushroom sauce over the steak and serve immediately.
Enjoy your sumptuous Beef Tenderloin Steak with a creamy, flavorful mushroom sauce!
