Beef Teriyaki Hokben: A Delicious Japanese-Inspired Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of thinly sliced beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cm fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 large onion

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:

    • Start by finely grating the garlic and ginger.
    • In a bowl, combine the sweet soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and sesame oil.
    • Add the sugar, salt, and black pepper to the bowl, mixing well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Marinate the Beef:

    • Place the thinly sliced beef into the bowl with the marinade.
    • Toss the beef to ensure it is evenly coated with the marinade.
    • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour. The longer the beef marinates, the more the flavors will penetrate, resulting in a more flavorful dish.
  3. Cook the Beef:

    • Heat the cooking oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.

  5. Serve:
