Beef Teriyaki

Discover a delectable fusion of tender beef and savory teriyaki sauce with this delightful Beef Teriyaki recipe. Ideal for a flavorful dinner, this dish combines the rich, umami notes of teriyaki with a blend of aromatic spices. Here’s how to create this scrumptious meal:

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef (preferably sirloin or ribeye), sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • Cooking oil (as needed)
  • Water (enough to cover the beef)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Royco (or any other seasoning cube) (to taste)
  • 3 packets of Saori Teriyaki Sauce (or any other teriyaki sauce of your choice)
  • Soy sauce (to taste)
  • 4 onions, sliced
  • Spice Paste:
    • 6 shallots
    • 7 cloves of garlic
    • 2 tablespoons whole black peppercorns
    • 1 tomato

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Beef: Begin by slicing the beef into bite-sized pieces and wash them thoroughly. Set aside.

  2. Make the Spice Paste: In a blender or mortar and pestle, combine the shallots, garlic, black peppercorns, and tomato. Blend or pound into a smooth paste.

  3. Cook the Spice Paste: Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the spice paste to the hot oil and sauté until it becomes fragrant and starts to cook through.

  4. Add the Onions: Toss the sliced onions into the pan with the spice paste. Continue to sauté until the onions become translucent and soften, which will add a rich layer of flavor to the dish.

  5. Cook the Beef: Add the beef pieces to the pan with the cooked spice paste and onions. Stir well, cooking for a few minutes until the beef is browned on all sides.

  6. Simmer: Pour enough water into the pan to cover the beef. Let the mixture simmer gently until the beef becomes tender. If the water level drops and the beef isn’t yet tender, add a little more water as needed, continuing to cook until the beef is fully tender.

  7. Season: Once the beef is tender and the water has reduced to a thicker consistency, add the Saori Teriyaki Sauce and soy sauce to taste. Stir well to combine. Adjust the seasoning with salt and Royco, tasting as you go to ensure the flavors are well balanced.

  8. Finish Cooking: Let the dish simmer for a few more minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken further and coat the beef. Reduce the heat if necessary to avoid burning.

  9. Serve: Once the sauce has reached your desired consistency and the flavors are just right, remove from heat. Your Beef Teriyaki is now ready to be served!

Enjoy this flavorful Beef Teriyaki with steamed rice or your favorite side dishes for a complete and satisfying meal. Bon appétit! ❤️
